This Privacy Policy describes how Safety84 LLC ("Safety84," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information in connection with our website safety84.com, our Telegram bot, our communications, and the DOT/FMCSA safety and compliance services we provide to motor carriers (together, the "Services").
By using our website or Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to information we receive through the Services and related interactions — for example, when carriers, their owners, employees, drivers, or applicants visit our website, submit a contact form, message our Telegram bot, call or email us, or provide records to us in the course of receiving compliance services.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information you provide directly
- contact details such as name, company name, email address, phone number, and USDOT/MC number;
- billing and payment details needed to invoice for our Services;
- records and documents provided so we can perform compliance work — for example driver applications, motor vehicle records (MVR), PSP reports, medical certificates, drug and alcohol testing records, hours-of-service data, maintenance records, registrations, tax filings, and related business documents;
- messages you send us by form, email, phone, SMS, or Telegram; and
- any other information you choose to share with us.
B. Information collected automatically
When you visit safety84.com, we and our service providers may automatically receive technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, dates and times of access, and data from cookies or similar technologies.
C. Information from third parties
In performing compliance services we may receive information about your company and drivers from third-party sources you authorize or that are required for the work — for example government systems and databases (FMCSA portals, the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse, state agencies), consumer reporting agencies, testing laboratories and clinics, ELD providers, insurers, and payment processors.
3. Driver and Employment-Related Records
Because our Services support trucking safety and compliance, clients routinely provide us with records relating to their drivers, applicants, employees, and contractors. We process such records solely to perform the Services for the client.
4. How We Use Information
- to provide, operate, and improve our Services and website;
- to perform compliance work you engage us for — building and maintaining files, submitting filings and registrations, coordinating testing, monitoring scores, and communicating with relevant agencies and vendors on your behalf;
- to respond to inquiries and provide customer support;
- to send service, billing, legal, and security communications;
- to invoice and process payments;
- to monitor, secure, and troubleshoot our systems;
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements; and
- for other purposes described at the time of collection or permitted by law.
We do not claim ownership of the records our clients provide to us.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website may use cookies, log files, and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure and improve performance, understand how the site is used, and support security. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how parts of the site work.
6. How We Disclose Information
A. Service providers
We may share information with vendors that perform functions on our behalf — such as hosting, communications, document storage, payment processing, analytics, and technical support — under obligations to protect it.
B. To perform your instructions
We disclose information as needed to carry out the work you engage us for — for example submitting filings to FMCSA, IRS, or state agencies, ordering MVR/PSP reports, enrolling drivers in a testing consortium, or communicating with your insurer or ELD provider.
C. Legal compliance and protection
We may disclose information where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request; to enforce our agreements; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Safety84, our clients, or others; or to investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
D. Business transfers
Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets involving our business.
E. SMS / mobile information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing with subcontractors that support our services (such as customer service or technical support) is permitted. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Clients are responsible for controlling access on their side — including who in their organization may send us records or receive them from us.
8. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, meet regulatory record-keeping requirements applicable to the work we perform, comply with our own legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain legitimate business records. Backup copies and system logs may persist for a period after deletion or termination of services.
9. Children's Privacy
Our website and Services are intended for business use and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Do Not Track
Our website may not respond to browser-based "Do Not Track" signals in a uniform way.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of certain personal information. Requests can be sent using the contact details below. Where we hold information solely on behalf of a client (for example, a driver's records provided by the motor carrier that employs the driver), we may refer the request to that client, since the client controls the relevant data.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
Our website and communications may link to or integrate with third-party sites and services (including Telegram). We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of third parties, and their own policies apply to your use of their services.
13. International Use
Our Services are intended for use in the United States. If you access them from elsewhere, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes we may provide notice on our website, by email, or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Services after an update takes effect constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Policy.
